Whether you’re looking to reunite with your close group of friends for a creative and funny bonding session, gift a unique birthday party or bring your family together, we have offered private pottery classes and pottery parties in Manchester for decades. A pottery workshop is a great way to get inspired and feel creative, even for those who don’t feel like they are creative people.
Group Pottery Party Options:
We offer 3 main options for a pottery party:
- Hand-build a mug: Here you’ll create your breakfast tea or coffee mug, but you could also make a pair of espresso cups, a vase, planter or pen pot. You’ll also paint your creations, giving opportunity for personal expression and creativity.
- Wheel throwing Workshop: Everyone spends the whole session on the potter’s wheel, learning the intricacies and fine motor skills required to manipulate clay through your fingers, while it spins. You also have the option of coming back for an additional session to come and glaze your creations yourself to complete the cycle.
- Wheel throwing and hand-building: Your team will all throw a pot on the wheel and also creatively hand-build too, giving the best of both worlds.
A Tailored Pottery Class
We can tailor the pottery workshop to your needs, varying the techniques and activities, make the class more social, or more in depth focusing solely on the potter’s wheel.
How much does it cost?
Prices will vary by group size and activity, however at the lower end for a hand-building workshop prices start from £40 per person. We can take up to 32 people (maybe more just ask). If you have less than 4 people we’d recommend to book one of our planned pottery taster classes.
